DACHAU CAMP

During my travels through South Germany this year I was staying a week in Munich. It was November, pretty cold and snow had been fallen constantly. Maybe other people may visit other places in this huge city, but I took my time to go through the darkest years of our German history and visited the concentration-camp Dachau, which is located just outside of Munich. It was a very depressing place, even though most of the brutality is happening inside the mind, because I have been living with this history since my early childhood. As being born in Germany, we Germans have the responsibility to let this never happen again.

The camp in Dachau was the first established of it's kind in 1933 and it was liberated on the 29. April 1949 by US-American troops. More than 40.000 people were murdered here. Words are not enough to describe the sadness in this camp and I leave the pictures without any comment.
