DONATIONS

We mostly live in a world, where our basic needs can be easily fulfilled and in most parts of the Western world, we do not need to suffer from starvation or the lack of health-care. Even though we should not close our eyes, that even today in Europe and America people have to live on the streets or don't receive the medical or social treatment they deserve.

During my travels I have seen many people in need and suffering from war or as being migrants. Some of them receive very little or no support from organisations and with your donations you can support these people directly.

I establish a separate bank-account for the donations soon. From this account I will deliver the money directly to the accounts of the organisations or individual persons. No need to mention, that the donated money will go to the people with 100% and the bank transfer fees will be overtaken by myself. In some cases the money will be invested in products, that are needed or sometimes the money will be handed over personally by myself. I am very careful with the people with who I am working with, because we are aware of the misuse of donations. I can guarantee a transparent funding, which will support the people and not the foundation itself or my own person.

When there are enough donations for a transfer, I will post all documents on this website, so that all details are open for the donators.

If you like to make a donation to one project and to get the bank details, please email me at foundation@keinom.com

Thank you very much for your attention, reading these very long texts and helping to improve other's people life.

URGENT CALL :

Sponsor a Tibetan Child

Approx 20,000 exiled Tibetans live in Nepal, who have fled from Tibet since 1959 or are born there. Their life as refugees is not easy and they have to work hard for their survival. Enable a Tibetan child in Nepal to receive a good school education.

The call for sponsorship for the school education of Tenzin Kunsal is not needed anymore, because he was very lucky to get a sponsor for his school-fees.

But I have met the family of another Tibetan child, that need your donations urgently.

Yangchen Dolkar

Yangchen is a 9 year old girl, that is entering Grade 3 at the Mount Kailash School in the Tibetan refugee settlement of Tashi Palkhiel nearby Pokhara at the end of February 2012. She is living with her mother Dorje Dolma and her grandmother Deton in the same village in a small house.

Yangchen's mother Dorje is like many other Tibetans in Nepal a souvenir-seller and the only source of income for the whole family. The Tibetans in Nepal have no other opportunity for income, because they never receive the Nepalese citizenship and this prevents them to get proper jobs. She is struggling very hard for the survival of the three woman and to cover the costs of Yangchen’s education. Her Nepali husband (who also is Yangchen father) ran away from this little family, when Yangchen was not even born yet. Since that time, the three woman live together in Tashi Palkhiel.

Yangchen is a shy girl, that is very helpful to her grandmother and mother. Often she goes to the older sister of her grandmother to help her and likes playing with her friends or loves riding her bicycle. In her future, she likes to become a doctor.

With your donation you enable Yangchen to easily continue her school education and give some financial relief to the whole family. The fees for her school are 30 Euros for 3 months and the costs for school books, pens, exercise books and the school uniform are around 50 Euros per year.

Donation : You donate the amount of money, that you can be able to give and you are directly helping Yangchen's mother to pay her school-fees.

Sponsor : You are willing to sponsor Yangchen's school-fees for one whole year or half-year. A contact to Yangchen by letter is possible.

Dolkar has passed her class 10 exam in Kathmandu and now likes to finalise her class 10+1 and +2 in Pokhara. Like Yangchen Dolkar, she lives in Tashi Palkhiel and her mother also works as a souvenir-seller. Her father is a shaman. Both of the parent's income is not enough to pay the high school-fees of their children. Your donation will help Dolkar to finishher school education.

Donation : You donate the amount of money, that you can be able to give and you are directly helping Dolkar to pay her school-fees.

Sponsor : You are willing to sponsor Dolkar's school-fees for one whole year or half-year. A contact to Dolkar by letter is possible.

Your donation is going directly to the respective school or the parents, who I know personally. Bills and certificates for the use of your money will be send to the donator by email/letter and will be
published on my website. Since my first announcement in March 2011 I have received about 125,- Euros for Dolkar. This is not enough to cover their school-fees, so it would be great, when you can add something to the sum.

If you like to support Lhamo Dolkar, please write  Tibet - Lhamo Dolkar or Tibet - Yangchen Dolkar in your bank-transfer.

Social Action for Women

The organisation Social Action for Women (SAW) has it’s basis in Mae Sot, Thailand. It was founded by refugee women from Burma. You can also find some of their Fair Trade products in my Fair Trade Shop, that they are manufacturing for self-support.

Many people of the ethnic minorities in Burma have to flee their home and country because of the ethnic cleansing by the Burmese Army. Mostly they end up in neighbouring Thailand, where a huge migrant community has settled since many decades. As a psychological form of war, the Burmese Army is constantly raping, often gang-raping women of the ethnic minorities in Burma. As a result, some women commit suicide, get neglected by their village or get infected with HIV.

Keinom Foundation - Social Action for WomenKeinom Foundation - Social Action for WomenSAW has established a few safehouses in Mae Sot for babies, who were abandoned by their parents, orphans or children who are infected with HIV from their raped mothers. SAW helps these children and their mothers with a Crisis Center and gives health care to the little ones. For older patients SAW collaborates with local other institutions, like the Mae Tao Clinic. SAW has also established a pre- and middle-school in Mae Sot.

SAW aims to help women and children, who fled from Burma and to give them an awareness for health-care and train the women and kids. They enable the youngsters to receive an education, which they would have never received in Burma.

If you want to make a donation for the women and children of SAW, please write SAW in your bank transfer.

Clinic in Loi Kaw Wan

I have been to Loi Kaw Wan in January 2009 for the very first time. It is a little village, where many ethnic people from inside Shan State live, who have fled the civil-war or the ethnic cleansing by the Burmese Army. Unlike the Karen, Pa O or Karenni nationals from Burma, the Shan are not able to seek refuge in Thailand, and settled in villages like Loi Kaw Wan, where the Shan State Army has their military basis.

Loi Kaw Wan is the headquarter of the Shan State Army – Kengtung Front (SSA-KF) and about 2,000 refugees live there. The SSA-KF has established a village for the constant flow of refugees and meanwhile the village has a little school, clinic, kindergarten, a Buddhist monastery and churches for the mostly Christian Akha or Lahu ethnic people. The village is organised in a civilian way, so that the people can live an almost normal life and preserve their cultural traditions.

Keinom Foundation - Clinic in Loi Kaw WanMost international organisations avoid to support these refugee villages, because they are protected by the Shan State Army, who prevent further ethnic cleansing, rape, drug-trade and rape of ethnic women with their sheer military presence. I can go to these places very easily and so I can bring the donated money directly into the sometimes hardly accessable places. Only a few help-organisations go to Loi Kaw Wan, who have done an incredible job already to increase the life-standard of the refugees. But this is not enough, as more people coming daily.

With this donation you are supporting the little clinic of Loi Kaw Wan, which is named Ban Mai Shorn Naine Clinic. Medical treatment is expensive and in most cases non-existent in these rural areas of Burma. People have to travel very far to see a doctor. Also the high malaria infections, the danger of Burmese landmines and also the war is having a deep impact on the health of the people in Shan State of Burma. In general the health-care system is very bad, especially in the jungle and rural areas of Burma. The Burmese government spends most of his income in it’s army.

With your donation, equipment and medicine can be bought, prothesises for landmine-victims can be paid, the refugees can be tested for malaria and treated, the villagers of Loi Kaw Wan can receive a basic health-care and there is also the possibility to deliver babies in this clinic.

If you like to donate money for the clinic in Loi Kaw Wan, please write Loi Kaw Wan - Clinic in your bank transfer.

School in Loi Kaw Wan

In Loi Kaw Wan, which is located around Chiang Rai province in Thailand at the Thai / Burma border, the villagers have established a little school for their children. This school has been growing since ever and with the help of an international organisation it was once built in a solid way with walls made of concrete instead of the all-present bamboo-huts in rural regions.

Keinom Foundation - School in Loi Kaw WanKeinom Foundation - Orphans in Loi Kaw WanToday the school has 300 students, aged six to eighteen for 19 teachers. Sometimes a sixteen year old boy is sitting in Grade 1 as he never attended a school before. 80 of the students are orphans and have lost their parents during the chaos of the war or their parents were killed by Burmese soldiers. They learn how to read and write in Shan and also Thai language to enable them a job in neighbouring Thailand in their future. They also learn English and get a basic knowledge of history, biology and geography. Education is one of the most important factors for young children, who live in war-zones to escape this cycle of destruction and built a better future. The teachers of the school have also started a gardening-project, where the kids have to plant and take care of a tea-plantation. The children are very eager to take care of the plants and the final results can be used for self-support of the school.

With your donation you will keep the school running to educate young children and teenagers, so that they can use this knowledge to change their path of life. Please write Loi Kaw Wan - School in your bank transfer.

You can also donate money for the home of the orphans, where they are receiving shelter, warm clothes and food. Please write Loi Kaw Wan - Orphans in your bank transfer.
